No More Bearistas After This Year?

Rumor has it from Starbucks Corporate that 2008 is the last year for Bearistas. So stock up now! And keep sending those photos of the 2008 Local and Destination bearistas.

Portland Bearista (2008)

Local Bearista Bear Collection, Special Edition in the Bearista Bear Collection

Released in early Summer 2008, the Portland Bearista is part of the 2008 Local Bearista Collection. Like all the other bears in this edition, he wears a black baseball cap embroidered with "Starbucks" in white with no logo. His ears stick through the cap; his left ear has a hangtag attached that reads "Portland Bearista".  He wears a white sweatshirt with lime green trim around the neck and bottom of the sleeves and with "Portland" printed in lime green on the front. This bearista wears navy patch pocket pants.  His shoes are little slip-ons that are navy, white, light blue and brown striped with brown soles and it says "Starbucks Coffee Company 2008" on his left foot (also all in brown).  He carries a little gray messenger bag over his right shoulder with a velcro closure. Thrive Breast Cancer Bearista Bear (2005)

This bearista was released in 2005 only available through the Starbucks employee website. Starbucks donated $4 from the sale of each bearista to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. She (complete with long eyelashes) is ready for her breast cancer 3-day, dressed in a pink t-shirt embroadered with a pink ribbon on the front, and "Let's Walk" emblazoned on the back. She's wearing black exercise pants with pink trim down the side of the leg and pink running shoes. The bottom of the left shoe has a cloth foot tag with the year. On her head she is wearing a white cap with the Starbucks logo on the front and pink ribbon on the back. There is a hang tag attached to her left ear which pokes through the cap. Colorado Rockies Bearista (2004)

This 2nd Edition, 1st Series MLB bearista was released as part of a partnership between Starbucks and the MLB. Each bear is the series was released only in his home town. He wears a home-game uniform in team colors and featuring "Rockies". On his head is a team logo ball cap with his ears sticking through. There is a special hangtag attached to his left ear. He carries a baseball mitt on his left paw and holds a little baseball. The metal tag on his left foot paw reads "MLB 2004" and carries the MLB logo. Thanks to Madfishmatt for the photo.

San Diego Padres Bearista (2004)

This 2nd Edition, 1st Series MLB bearista was released as part of a partnership between Starbucks and the MLB. Each bear is the series was released only in his home town. We've been making great progress adding Bearistas to the site -- from older editions including pictures of extra-large versions of Bearistas courtesy of DJ, to an almost-complete list of 2006 local Bearistas from Madfishmatt, we are filling in more content every day!

Washington D.C. Bearista (2006)

Local Bearista Bear Collection, Special Edition in the Bearista Bear Collection

Washington D.C. Bearista is part of the Local Bearista Collection released in Spring of 2006. Each bearista in the series is dressed the same. He wears a black baseball cap with the Starbucks label on it; his ears stick through the cap and there is a hang tag attached to his left ear. He has khaki pants on with pockets. Each bear has a grey zippered sweatshirt with the city name on it and a white t-shirt with a city slogan on it. This bearista's sweatshirt reads "Washington D.C.". The t-shirt reads "Capital City".
